Now is the time to work on a scene or monologue from Shakespeare. Zoom gives us a means to practice acting and work on script analysis. This workshop includes four meetings designed to rehearse a scene between siblings or a parent and child. A final presentation will be planned. Scenes assigned after our first meeting. Participants schedule rehearsals prior to subsequent meetings.
The first meeting is complimentary. Registration is required for those attending the introductory meeting. You will be sent a Zoom meeting number prior to the start of class. Registration is required for those attending the introductory meeting.

August Wilson (1945-2005) wrote a cycle of ten plays documenting African-American life in each decade of the 20th century. This seminar is an overview of the themes of identity and race; family and community in his body of work. Subsequent seminars will be held on specific plays.
