An August Wilson Seminar
“You studyin’ me? You studyin’ me?”
August Wilson (1945-2005) wrote a cycle of ten plays documenting African-American life in each decade of the 20th century. This seminar is an overview of the themes of identity and race; family and community in his body of work. Subsequent seminars will be held on specific plays.
First introductory meeting TBA.
